Robbie Hall, General Manager, HRC
Robbie Hall, with over 23 years of experience in the concrete reinforcing steel industry, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering Technology. The initial 17 years of his career unfolded at reinforcing bar fabricators, starting as a rebar detailer and advancing through training, supervision, and management and grew into the role of Regional Engineering Manager for a large fabricator in the Southeast US where he was responsible for development and oversight of all detailing operations. Robbie joined HRC in January 2018, where he currently serves as the General Manager for East Coast operations and Manager of Codes, Standards, and Applications Support for North America. Beyond his professional responsibilities, Robbie is actively involved in industry-level contributions, participating in technical committees within ACI, ASTM, CRSI, and RSIC. Outside of work, he enjoys spending quality time with his family, as well as engaging in hiking and camping activities.
Michael Gamberg
Michael Gamberg, Director of Project Delivery at Salit Steel
Michael Gamberg, a native of Conception Bay South, Newfoundland, pursued post-secondary education before graduating with a diploma in Architectural Engineering Technology from The College of the North Atlantic. His progressive and diverse career includes roles such as a Rebar Detailer in NL, General Manager in BC, and Business Development in NL. Notably, he served as the Senior Project Manager at Salit Steel, contributing to the Keeyask Hydro Electric Project, before assuming the role of Director of Project Delivery at Salit Steel. In this current position, he leads a team of highly skilled detailers and project managers, collectively overseeing all aspects of project delivery. Beyond his professional life, Michael enjoys various outdoor activities and hands-on pursuits, including hiking, fishing, snow sports, woodworking, home DIY projects, and cooking.
Shaun Kroukamp
Shaun Kroukamp, Chief Detailer at Salit Steel
Shaun Kroukamp, with a B.Com in Accounting from the University of the Witwatersrand (2010) and a National Diploma in Civil Engineering from the University of South Africa (2016). Shaun's journey began as a Junior Detailer in 2004, progressing through roles such as Structural Detailer and Detailer Manager, Assistant Detailing Manager Infrastructure and currently holds the role of Chief Detailer at Salit Steel. Currently, as Chief Detailer at Salit Steel, Shaun leads and coaches the in-house detailing team.Notable projects in his portfolio include The Keeyask Generating Station (Manitoba), Saint Michael's Hospital (Toronto), Eglinton Crosstown LRT (Toronto), and most recently, Gordie Howe International Bridge (Windsor). Beyond his career, Shaun enjoys outdoor pursuits like rock climbing, kayaking, ice climbing, snowboarding, and mountain exploration.
