Description

Euclid Chemical and Nudura are within the Tremco Construction Products Group. They will demonstrate how to install an ICF System with a Reduced overall GHG/EPD for improved sustainability by using FRC. Learn how FRC is evolving and becoming used in everyday concrete construction to improve durability, provide a safer and more sustainable construction project and save money. Topics to include Environmental Impact Data, new codes and standards and real-world applications of fiber concrete. ( FRC stands for Fiber Reinforced Concrete).

I have worked in the ICF (Insulated Concrete Form) industry for over 20 years in a variety of areas that include Technical Support, on-site training, classroom training. My construction experience has spanned over 35 years working in the past for various contractors and concrete supply companies that includes building everything from residential structures, agricultural buildings to heavy commercial buildings.

Michael A. Mahoney, M.A.Sc., P.Eng,, FACI, The Euclid Chemical Company

Michael Mahoney is a Professional Engineer and the Director of Marketing and Technology, Fiber Reinforced Concrete for the Euclid Chemical Company in Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Mahoney is a Fellow and member of the American Concrete Institute and has served on various committees for NPCA, ASTM and is the current president of the Fiber Reinforced Concrete Association. In 1997, he obtained his M.A.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the Technical University of Nova Scotia, Halifax, Canada. Mr. Mahoney has co-authored several papers on the subjects of FRC, shotcrete, carbon footprint of fiber materials and innovative bridge systems and currently directs research and marketing projects while educating engineers and contractors on the use of FRC. In his “spare” time, he coaches hockey in the Cleveland area and makes his home in Painesville, OH with his wife and two children.
