Description
Behind every Canadian landmark lies a story of innovation, collaboration, and concrete strength. This seminar takes you on a journey through Canada’s most celebrated projects, exploring how reinforced concrete has empowered engineers and builders to push boundaries from coast to coast.
Presented by
Craig Slama, Partner - Jablonsky, Ast and Partners
Craig graduated from Carleton University in 1997 and has worked in the engineering profession since then. A licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario, Alberta, Manitoba, Michigan and Connecticut, Craig has worked in Ontario and in New York throughout his career.
Craig has been a partner with Jablonsky, Ast and Partners since 2007 and the majority of his design involves complex reinforcing concrete high-rise structures located throughout the City of Toronto. His design experience includes sports facilities, complex structural steel structures, numerous pre-engineered steel buildings and pre-engineered timber roof trusses. He has designed projects in buildings in several provinces across Canada and cellular installations on several buildings in the Tri-State area.
Craig has been a volunteer contributor to Toronto Metropolitan University’s fourth year engineering students Capstone program for over a decade, and continues to also champion education and continued learning within Jablonsky, Ast and Partners.
Craig’s responsibilities in the company involve design from the preliminary stages of conceptual design through the completed working drawings stage. He is strongly involved in the development of BIM and alternate technological solutions within our office.
