It is common for costs and time overruns to be frequent problems in construction projects. Numerous factors can cause costs to exceed the budget and extend the project’s schedule. This presentation will explore the common factors contributing to these issues and how to prevent them from occurring by mitigating risks as witnessed in one of the most challenging projects in North America: Highway 401 RER Rail Tunnel Project in Toronto, ON which was completed on time and within the budget.
