Insulating Concrete Forms (ICF’s) in Multi-Story Construction “A Success Story”

Date & Time: Thursday Feb 12, 2026 at 12:30 pm
Duration: 50 minutes
Location: Pegasus Room C
Registration: $50 plus hst

Description

As demand grows for stronger, more energy-efficient, and sustainable buildings, Insulating Concrete Forms (ICFs) have proven to be a viable solution beyond single-family homes. This session highlights a real-world success story of ICFs used in multi-story construction, showcasing how this innovative building system delivers performance, durability, and long-term value.
Attendees will learn about the challenges of multi-story projects, why ICFs were selected, and the measurable results achieved in terms of energy efficiency, fire resistance, speed of construction, and lifecycle cost savings. Practical lessons from the project team will be shared, offering insight into design coordination, construction processes, and best practices for future builds.
By the end of this session, participants will understand how ICFs are redefining modern construction and why they represent a proven solution for resilient, sustainable multi-story buildings.
The ICFMA Technical Director will give a brief update on the technical activities of the ICFMA.
