Description

Concrete pumping is one of the most efficient and cost-effective ways to place large volumes of concrete. However, pumping also introduces unique construction practices that affect everyone on the construction team. To address these safety risks, the CSA Z151 pumping standard sets out clear safety responsibilities for all parties involved. These responsibilities ensure that pumping operations are carried out safely and that risks are properly managed on-site. This presentation will explain the key safety requirements outlined in CSA Z151 and provide practical guidance on how to implement them. Identifying the actual and potential dangers associated with concrete pumping is a vital step towards introducing mitigation controls amongst all workplace parties.
