Circular Economy: An Agricultural Solution for Fines

Description

After more than 10 years to look at a solution for the fines coming from the recycled concrete. ABQ ran a research program to use that material for pH correction in the agricultural land. This conference will reveal the path we took with all challenges we passed thru. We will present results we obtain and the process we develop to be able to use fines for this application.

Luc Bédard obtained a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the University de Sherbrooke in 1995. In 1999, he also completed a master's degree in engineering from the same university, including a path in urban infrastructure rehabilitation focused on concrete structures. Also, he completed an MBA program at the University du Quebec à Montréal. He began his career monitoring concrete on site for a testing laboratory. In 1998, with Archimedes 2000, he worked to start a concrete manufacturing plant in Argentina. Subsequently, he held the position of director of quality for Schokbéton, a prefabrication company in St-Eustache and Oldcastle (groupe Permacon) here he managed the quality system of 13 paving and concrete block factories. In 2008, he joined the Association béton Québec as Technical Director and since 2012 has held the position of General Manager.
