Description
At work we have lots of meetings to talk about the work, projects, health and safety; we have meetings to problem solve and share ideas; we have meetings to talk about people, provide feedback and conduct performance reviews. Rarely do we have meetings to reflect on, and specifically talk about how and what biases have crept in that can either help or hinder an individual’s career progression.
This session will share what the Ontario General Contractors Association (OGCA) and its member are doing to:
- Increase opportunities for access, inclusion and career progression for better recruitment, retention and employee experience in a competitive labour market.
- Kick-start intentional conversations to identify and break the bias.
- Incorporate a quick and simple action everyone in the workplace can do to see immediate impact.
