Description: Toronto based CEO Jorge Rodrigues of DGR Concrete Forming Inc. was taking some final photos of his team’s finished work on a Custom Modern Home by Element Modern Dwellings of Oakville for his engineer and happened to captured a moment when one of his team had stopped, took a moment and put his hands onto the concrete admiring the work completed by the DGR crew. He’s standing in a 21’ deep double car elevator pit/shaft for the clients exotic car collection.

“What makes this image exceptional is that it wasn’t posed, and it truly captures how passionate all my 25+ employees are about what we do here at DGR as a team. Grand Prize:

The Concrete Works Hard Grand Prize winner of $2000 will be drawn at 6:00 pm at the Sunbelt Concrete Mixer & Networking event on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2020 in the Ballroom, at The International Centre.

To qualify for the GRAND PRIZE one (1) company member must be a registered attendee and be present at the networking event in order to win. All Companies that submitted photos between July 12th, 2019 and up until January 21st, 2020 will be entered in the CWH Contest draw.

Stanmore Equipment Ltd.

Location: Deseronto, Ontario
Description: This Magni 6.35 RTH was on location at Hwy #49 south of the 401. Aecon Construction required a high reach telehandler for the rehabilitation of the Hwy #49 Bridge project and turned to Stanmore Equipment for the solution. Stanmore supplied Aecon Construction with a Magni 6.35 Rotational Telehandler for this major bridge restoration project . This provided them with the reach and capacity that they needed to safely execute the repairs that were required.

The Magni 6.35 RTH has a maximum lift height of 35m, (114 ft), and a maximum weight capacity of 6 tonnes, (13,000lbs). The 6.35 RTH is also a fully rotational machine offering a full 360° of rotation. Stanmore as Ontario’s exclusive Magni dealership was proud to work with Aecon Construction on this project.

November Winner

Winkler Concrete

Location: Winkler, Manitoba
Description: This job took place at Four Seasons Potatoes in Winkler, Manitoba. Winkler Concrete delivered, pumped, and laser screened the concrete for their parking lot.

There were several competing bids for this parking lot project and Ron Krahn – General Manager of Winkler Concrete believes it was their Ligchine International ScreedSaver Max 200; the “large line” sized boom screed (200 sq. ft. of coverage) called the “workhorse” of the Ligchine fleet to be a very influential reason Winkler Concrete secured the construction work on this parking lot concrete project.

October Winner

East Elgin Concrete Forming Ltd.

Location: London, ON
Description: A September early morning pour at 3700 Old Victoria Rd, London ON. The team from East Elgin Concrete Forming Limited started at 3am on this Agricultural manure pit and worked throughout the night. There were over 12 crew members on this 3800 sq. ft site, it was a 14’8” single pour of 789m of concrete.

Established in 1994, East Elgin Concrete Forming Limited is in Tillsonburg, Ontario. The property encompasses a 6-acre site in the industrial area of Tillsonburg which also contains a ready-mix plant, mechanic shop and several containment areas for sand and other aggregates for job use.

Location: Lakeshore Blvd & Parklawn in Toronto
Description: Aerial shot of our “We The North” mixer supplying concrete for new condominium project. Toronto Redimix wrapped one of their concrete mixer trucks to support the Raptors during this year’s playoff season.
